In an effort to raise global awareness and promote multicultural understanding among their peers, a group of enterprising students from Anmore Elementary School presented a slideshow about Uganda and The Mercy Project, and held a successful bake sale to benefit the healthcare initiatives at St. Jude Children’s Home. When Blue Ocean Construction Inc., a general contracting firm based in Coquitlam, BC, heard that the students raised an impressive $312 they generously offered to match the donation, bringing the grand total $625! The Mercy Project would like to sincerely thank all of the students, parents and teachers of Anmore Elementary as well as Blue Ocean Construction Inc. for their generous donation.
